Model B Steinway Grand
This was a high school project, but it was also one of my very first projects. I vividly remember being transfixed by the whole design process—jumping out of bed early in the morning and staying in the lab until curfew.
Results
The final model is a fully functional, single octave, to-scale Steinway Model B Grand. Each key plays the actual frequency of the corresponding note; the lid is hinged, and can adjust to 4 heights; an LED indicates the power status.
And, of course, the Harry & Sons logo is proudly engraved on top.
