Model B Steinway Grand
This was a project I completed back in freshman year of high school.
This project will always hold a special place in my heart (which is why I still display it eight years later), as I am a pianist of nearly a decade and the outcome of this project really cemented my confidence and passion for engineering.
Results
The final model is a fully functional, single octave, to-scale Steinway Model B Grand. Each key plays the actual frequency of the corresponding note; the lid is hinged, and can adjust to 4 heights; an LED indicates the power status.
And, of course, the Harry & Sons logo is proudly engraved on top.
