It’s Nov. 24, 2024, and I’ve just completed my forward-swept carbon UAV. I handmade 8 splash molds using a super budget technique I developed at work, and then infused 8 separate parts, hand-painted, and clear-coated. The CAD, renders, and physical build are all my work, although the craft took inspiration from ATOMRC.
My next big step is to wire her electronics so that she’ll fly, and I’d like to make a few extra models so that I can program flight paths for pattern formations.
My thanks to everybody at Common Fibers for allowing me to use the shop on the weekends to build my stuff.
See below for a photo gallery of the build process.
